About the event

Join us for an uplifting and supportive workshop on how to protect your wellbeing as a musician, led by freelance orchestral flautist and performance coach Lee Holland.

This special session has been organised as part of Glasgow Women's Library â€¯Open the Door Festival 2025 in partnership with the MU, to help you thrive both personally and professionally.

The workshop will use practical exercises and resources including mindfulness and breathwork to help you learn how to support your own wellbeing for optimal performance in both work and your wider life. The session will explore:

  • The psychology of stress
  • Recovery
  • How to support and get the best from ourselves
