About the event
Developed by the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) in partnership with the Music Managers Forum (MMF) and the Musicians' Union (MU), UKAT was launched in early 2026 to help address the growing cost-of-touring crisis facing UK artists.
Backed by the LIVE Trust, which collects and distributes £1 donations from arena shows, the first phase of UKAT provided support to 26 artists across 211 tour dates around the UK.
Funding helped artists deliver tours that may otherwise have been financially unviable, while encouraging artists to tour safely and sustainably and ensuring they could take their best show on the road. The high volume of applications highlighted the need for continued investment in sustainable touring and helped inform the development of UKAT for future funding rounds.
UKAT Phase Two opens for applications on 26 August 2026, and artists will be able to:
- Apply for a maximum grant of £8,000 (up from £7,000 in Phase One);
- Submit a mix of headline AND support shows, with no limit of support show venue capacity;
- Submit festival shows in funding applications;
- Include unconfirmed/pencilled shows (to be confirmed prior to award).
