The Musicians' Yoga Essentials Course is an accessible, step-by-step program, designed for busy musicians with strategies to help ease pain and tension from music making, to find calm in face of anxiety, and to help boost resilience when under pressure. 

The MU is committed to making health and wellbeing accessible to all musicians. The Musicians’ Yoga Essentials Course was commissioned by the MU in 2022 to provide its members with a free yoga resource tailored especially for musicians, and has been designed by yoga teacher and MU member Veronika Klírová. 

Veronika hopes to empower members with the knowledge shared in this course, to be happier and healthier musicians.

About the Teacher

Veronika Klirova musician and yoga course teacherVeronika is a flute player at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, a yoga teacher for musicians, and a passionate performance wellbeing advocate. She completed her first yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India in 2018, and has been teaching and further educating herself on this subject ever since.

She is the creator of Musicians’ Yoga with Veronika and through her classes, workshops and private sessions, helps professional musicians avoid injury and burnout so that they can enjoy sustainable careers staying connected to their love of music. 

She has delivered Musicians’ Yoga sessions for the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM), the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Oxford Flute Summer School and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. In 2022, Veronika collobrated with the Musicians' Union for her first online course - Musicians’ Yoga Essentials.
