People involved, or interested in, Scotland's jazz community are invited to attend two free online seminars as part of Now’s The Time, a research and development project exploring opportunities for the sector.

Funded by Creative Scotland and delivered by EKOS Ltd alongside specialist associate Nod Knowles, the project aims to identify opportunities to strengthen and support jazz in Scotland.

Learning from international examples

The seminars will showcase six examples of jazz development work from across the UK, Ireland and Europe, with opportunities for attendees to take part in Q&A sessions.

The first seminar will feature speakers from Jazz Denmark, Jazz North, Routes Into Jazz and France’s Association Jazzé Croisé, while the second will include representatives from Tomorrow’s Warriors, Ireland’s Improvised Music Company, Manchester Jazz Festival and Jazz North.

Both seminars take place via Zoom and will be recorded and made available for future viewing. Anyone interested in attending can register for one or both events.

Further information

The events will act as a precursor to a series of in-person Now’s The Time round-table workshops planned for later this year. Find out more about Now’s The Time, including the full agenda for both seminars.
