The MU will once again be heading to Glasgow for PITCH Scotland 2026, a three-day hip hop conference and festival taking place from 2-4 September.
Now in its fifth year, PITCH brings together artists, music professionals and industry organisations for a programme of live music, industry sessions, networking and artist development, with more than 100 artists and speakers taking part across venues including Drygate Brewery, McChuills, Moxy Merchant City and BLOC+.
Meet the MU
As part of the PITCH Scotland conference, Sam Jordan, Sessions Official, will lead The Business of Collaboration: Copyright, Sampling & Ownership event at 2.30pm on Thursday 3 September at Drygate Brewery, 85 Drygate, Glasgow, G4 0UT.
The session will offer practical guidance on copyright, ownership, publishing, sample licensing and collaboration agreements, helping musicians understand their rights when working with other artists, producers and collaborators.
Louise Stanners Pow, Regional Officer for Scotland & Northern Ireland, will also be attending PITCH alongside Sam, giving musicians and industry professionals the opportunity to meet the MU team and find out more about how the Union can support their careers.
