The MU understands that many musicians have complex working arrangements. Members may be employed, self-employed, freelance, or combine several of these forms of work, making tax matters particularly challenging to navigate.

Alongside PAYE and self-employment income, many musicians also manage royalties, advances, partnership income, and work that involves frequent travel across the UK and internationally. Understanding how these different income streams and working arrangements fit within the UK tax system can be difficult.

To help, we've compiled a list of qualified tax advisors who understand the realities of working in the music industry and offer discounted services to MU members.
