A collaborative space in the heart of Bristol's historic Old City

Based in the heart of Bristol's historic Old City, Old City Studio is the latest project from friends Paul and Rhys, whose shared passion for live music and local artists has led them into many areas of the music industry. Together they have 20+ years’ experience spanning the live sector, recording, photography, and promoting.

OCS is intended to be a creative and collaborative space for artists to come together and make music. Endorsed by the Donut Filler Jam Collective and next door to the well-established live music venue Mr Wolfs, the studio is situated right in the heart of Bristol’s action.

Supporting independent musicians at a grassroots level

MU Head of Membership, Wasim Yunus says: "I’m delighted that members now have discounted recording studio space in Bristol.

This further highlights the MU’s commitment to working with studios rights across the UK. It was so nice to meet Rhys and Theo at The Old City Studio and learn a little bit about what they do.”

Studio Manager Rhys Friery says: We’re really excited to be working with the MU to make recording facilities more accessible to artists. We’ve always tried to support small independent musicians at a grassroots level and hope the discount helps members get professional recordings, so they grow their careers.
