Rishi Sunak has stated that SEISS will be extended in a way that is similar to Furlough, but we are awaiting further details

On Saturday 31 October, the Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that England would go under a nationwide lockdown – from Thursday 5 November through to Wednesday 2 December.

Saturday’s announcement confirmed that furlough will be extended for workers employed through PAYE, and the Chancellor Rishi Sunak has said that the Self-Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) will be extended “similarly,” however we are awaiting the details on how this will work.

We expect to know more about the Lockdown, and how members and their workplaces will be affected, following the Prime Ministers announcement today at 3:30 pm. We will be keeping members informed through our regular update emails and Twitter channel.
