“I had many questions when I started transitioning my music hobby into a career, so I joined the Musicians’ Union for advice.

“I was pleasantly surprised by what the MU offers. Advice from the MU prevented me signing a sync contract that could have strangled business.

“As a sole trader it is very easy to let business things slide but attending the informative and free development courses have kept me sharp and up to date, while also helping me to network with people across the artistic spectrum.

“I was elected to the Midlands Regional Committee in January 2018 and I am now on the MU Equalities Sub Committee.”
