About Ty Jeffries
Composer, lyricist, pianist, singer & entertainer Ty Jeffries is best know in the world of Cabaret both as himself and as his glamorous cabaret star alter-ego Miss Hope Springs. He was educated at The Purcell School of Music & is known both in the UK and the USA for his heartrending ballads, hilarious comedy songs and 'exquisite' comic timing as well as evocative solo piano pieces . Ty’s compositions span the world of classical music, vaudeville & music hall and golden age Hollywood, evoking everything from 1920s Berlin & Paris to the popular songs of the 1970s & contemporary musical theatre standards. He was mentored by Vangelis & was in the studio when he composed the scores for Blade Runner & Chariots of Fire. Ty's the first ‘non-classical’ artist to have performed at the world famous classical venue The Wigmore Hall in London. Ty continues what is now a 9 year residency at Le Crazy Coqs in London's West End. His songs are gaining more recognition & coverage by established artists in the world of jazz and musical theatre.
As Miss Hope Springs Ty won Best Cabaret Edinburgh Fringe Broadway World Awards 2019 for his season at The Assembly Rooms and appearred in Harry Shearer and Judith Owen's 'Christmas Without Tears' along side artists such as Jeff Goldblum and Ringo Starr.
Ty is a member of The Ivors Academy and The Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain.
