Independent solo singer/songwriter collaborating with other songwriters and musicians from around the world for recordings. Also play live solo shows and am a member of The Bluegrass Buddies, Born Country and the Elastic Band a pop/rock covers band.
I have been playing music for over forty years and, having dabbled in songwriting, took it up inearnest during the 2020 lockdown, releasing a remotely recorded duo CD in October that year ("Seducing the Emperor" by Lunar Thorn).
I'm based in Cambridge, England and record with other musicians from Australia to the USA.
The Lunar Thorn album was followed by a series of solo singles in 2021, including "Hard to Escape (Song for Chris") in aid of the charity Refuge. 2022 saw a couple of additional solo singles and an EP (Background Noise) plus another CD of cover songs recorded in collaboration with half a dozen international collaborators.
I get frequent airplay on local and international radio staions, I've had good reviews, especially for the Background Noise EP, and play festivals and shows both solo and with the Bluegrass Buddies. I was a special guest of John Jenkins (ex Come In Tokio) on his 2021 tour, and played four songs as part of the Strummers and Dreamers Songwriter's Circle which was broadcast locally on Cambridge 105 and, internationally, on Blues & Roots radio.
