About Sandy Smith
Sandy Smith is an international, multi-award-winning vocalist, former West End performer, theatre producer and the creative force behind Sandz Entertainment.
Sandy’s remarkable career began at the age of five, and by nine she was already performing professionally in Annie in Newcastle. She went on to appear on some of the country’s most prestigious stages, including the London Palladium, before starring in London’s West End as Sandy in Grease and the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Her extensive credits also include a prime-time Saturday-night appearance on ITV.
Recognised as one of the UK’s most accomplished and versatile vocalists, Sandy has been named Best International Female Vocalist and has performed throughout the UK and internationally for more than 45 years. Her career has taken her from major theatre stages and cruise liners to five-star hotels, corporate events, weddings and exclusive private celebrations.
After enjoying a successful performing career, Sandy founded and ran the highly regarded Adlib Performing Arts School in Saltburn for 16 years, inspiring and training the next generation of performers. She later established Sandz Entertainment, creating and producing professional touring theatre productions that now entertain audiences at venues across the country.
Sandy’s current productions include Cilla & The Swinging 60s, Shout Out to the 60s, West End Stories – A Night at the Musicals, Motown & Northern Soul, Divas, Disco & Icons, Vocal Legends and Country Meets Rock. Presented in a variety of formats—from intimate solo and duo performances to dazzling productions featuring vocal trios, dancers and live musicians—her shows are renowned for their powerhouse vocals, beautiful harmonies, fabulous costumes and irresistible feel-good energy.
With a repertoire of more than 1,000 songs, Sandy can move effortlessly from intimate ballads and musical-theatre showstoppers to Sixties classics, Motown favourites, rock anthems and modern dance-floor hits. Her warmth, humour and natural connection with an audience make every performance feel personal, whether she is entertaining a small private gathering or commanding a packed theatre.
