About Sam Rapley
Sam Rapley is a composer and saxophonist living and working in the UK. He writes distinctive, unique and ear-catching music for Film, Television and Games, as well as recording and touring internationally both as a sideman (Alfa Mist, Waaju, Misha Mullov-Abbado) and with his own band, Fabled.
Having recently graduated from the National Film and Television School, Sam has worked on a number of productions which have gone on to receive critical acclaim. These include ‘Spring Roll Dream’, a short animation film which was selected for Cannes Film Festival’s ‘La Cinef’ 2022 & shortlisted for a Student Bafta, the game ‘Pest Whisperer’, which was awarded 2nd place at The Big Indie Pitch and ‘Dosing’, a short drama which was selected for both Palm Springs and London Short Film Festivals. During his time at the school, he also scored the official trailer for London International Animation Festival 2020 and assisted composer Jon Opstad on Season 2 of BBC Studios ‘We Hunt Together’. Upon graduating from the NFTS, Sam was awarded the prestigious Avid prize for Excellence in Composition and is now being mentored by Dario Marianelli.
