About Rob Purkiss

I am a full-time professional musician specialising as a drummer and vocalist, with additional skills on guitar, bass, and keyboards. I have performed in live bands since the age of 13 and have extensive experience across function, wedding, party, original, and orchestral crossover projects. I am highly adaptable, comfortable working in established bands, dep situations, and large ensembles, and confident performing across pop, rock, funk, soul, dance, garage, R&B, folk, and orchestral styles.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Music Performance from Leeds College of Music, alongside Grade 8 ABRSM Tuned Percussion (Distinction) and Grade 8 Trinity Rock & Pop Drums (Merit). I have worked professionally as a performer, educator, and industry specialist, including nine years at Graham Russell Drums as a sales assistant, stock manager, and buyer.

My experience includes touring and high-level function bands, original music projects, orchestral performances with Club Classic Orchestra, and large venues such as the Bristol O2 Academy. I am also co-owner of Intergalactic Party Co, combining performance with agency management, artist coordination, and client delivery.
