About Richard Partridge
After a musical apprenticeship fiddling on the streets of London and Barcelona, where I played in the Spanish folk group Lahiez and bluegrass band Pigtales, I took a music degree at Birmingham University and a masters in Early Music at Indiana. Back in London, I worked on the online edition of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicianship as editor of instruments and performance practice, and on the radio listings pages of the Radio Times. Since 2008, I have been a freelance teacher of violin, viola, ukulele and double bass. Musically I specialise in bluegrass and British folk music.
