About Peter O'Donnell

As a singer songwriter I've been playing music since I was a teenager in Somerset folk clubs.

I enjoyed early success as lead singer and guitarist in the 70’s with the pop/rock band Casino, touring Europe and the university circuit supporting such bands as Thin Lizzy, Supertramp and 10cc and had an original song 'Crazy' in the UK charts.

I've lived the life of a troubadour, playing guitar as a busker on the streets of Paris which led to a deal with French record label Vogue promoting a hit single on many TV shows. After that I lived a Hollywood lifestyle staying at the Chateau Marmont and spent several years in New York, attending the Juilliard School of Music and playing with The Ravers.

Later I became a piano entertainer in West End clubs such as Stringfellows and crooned like Sinatra round the world on cruises and several five star hotels.

I performed as the resident band at The Ritz, London every weekend for twelve years and currently play at the Oriental Club in Oxford Street.

I take pride in playing a wide repertoire of music, though blues is my real passion.

As a songwriter I have a back catalogue of over 300 original works. I currently live on the south coast and my love of travelling, by the sea in St Leonards and the lockdown has inspired many recent songs such as Lockdown Blues, Night Walking and Living in Dangerous Times.

In 2023 I released a new album Moon Over Water and am soon to finish another called Hollywood Chateau.
