About Paul O'Loughlin

Paul O’Loughlin is a virtuoso performer and a classical guitar teacher with a passion for live music. Paul started playing the guitar at the age of ten receiving lessons from Philip Woodfield and Chris Susans. Paul gained an ABRSM Grade 8 with distinction and won the Burton Music Festival 1st prize in 1990. He then went on to continue his musical development with a four year performance diploma course with internationally renowned guitar maestro and pedagogue Gilbert Biberian (one time student of Ida Presti) at Trinity College of Music in London. At the college, Paul took part in master classes with many renowned guitarists including Alirio Diaz (one time student of Segovia), John Williams, Ricardo Iznaola, Paul Galbraith, Graham Wade, Jonathan Leathwood and The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. Paul performs regularly throughout the UK and is currently studying to take an FTCL and FRSM the highest performance award for Trinity College of Music and the Royal Schools of Music respectively.
