About Megan Rushbrook
An “inspirational” musician, Megan has a wide variety of experiences as a pianist.
Having studied both jazz and classical piano at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, she has performed in classical solo and chamber recitals, as well as in jazz ensembles and musical theatre productions. She also regularly accompanies graded exams.
Megan is passionate about passing her love of music on to others. From providing private piano tuition to whole class creative workshops, she is always enthusiastic and flexible in her approach to music making with students.
Her wide love of multiple musical genres led to the creation of The Olive Collective, an ensemble of which Megan is a founding member. This group incorporates different styles into their music, including classical, jazz and world music, creating atmospheric and exotic soundworlds with their unusual instrument combination: piano, cello and oboe/cor anglais.
