About Lisa Murphy

I’m Lisa Murphy, a music producer, recording engineer, and mix engineer with over 20 years of experience collaborating with independent artists and labels.

I'm based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the Northeast of England, working in professional recording studios Blank Studios, where I am also Studio Manager, as well as my own studio, Production Room.

Building strong working relationships with the artists I collaborate with is key to my approach. I believe it’s crucial to understand not only the music but also the vision an artist has for their work. I take time to learn about your songwriting process, lyrics, influences, and sonic goals so I can provide the best possible support — whether through recording, mixing, arranging, or production.

I'm not only interested in your music and you as an artist; I'm reliable and committed to achieving the final product to your vision - I champion the artists that I work with and support them on their journey.

I'm passionate about improving the representation of women and gender minorities in the music industry, and much of my portfolio reflects this.
