About Jennifer John
Jennifer John is an artist, composer and creative director whose work spans live performance, recordings and large-scale participatory experiences.
Over more than 30 years, she has developed and directed large-scale vocal projects, commissions and collaborations across the cultural and commercial sectors, bringing together artists, organisations and communities to create work that is both artistically distinctive and widely accessible.
As Founder and Creative Director of Sense of Sound and Founder of Very Vocal, Jennifer develops original vocal work that spans theatre, live events, recordings and participatory performance. Her practice combines composition, creative direction and collaboration to transform original ideas into impactful cultural and commercial programmes.
Jennifer's current work focuses on composing vocal repertoire and developing original intellectual property, including large-scale participatory performance experiences, whilst continuing to collaborate with artists, producers and organisations on commissions that place the human voice at the centre of the creative process.
