About Jennifer John
I am an award-winning vocal coach, singer/songwriter and vocal arranger.
As a singing lecturer, I work nationally in the UK and my clients include the Royal Academy of Music, Royal Northern College of Music, BIMM (Manchester) & Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
I am the Creative Director and leader of the vocal ensemble, Sense of Sound and have successfully secured collaborations with Blossoms, Yoko Ono, Damon Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur, The Good, the Bad & the Queen), Take That, Paloma Faith, Brian Eno, opening at M&S Arena for the mighty Nile Rodgers and Chic are just a small selection of the incredible highlights.
My clients include ITV’s The Voice UK and The Voice Kids, Inhaler, Blossoms, Brooke Combe, Jamie Webster, Modern Sky, Starwood Management, Toni Sancho, and Dave McCabe (The Zutons).
My 30 years of teaching goes way beyond vocal technique. I am passionate about artistry which explores emotional connection, interpretation, lifestyle choices, creative consciousness, heightened awareness and daily practices that challenge limiting ways of thinking. In addition, as an accomplished top line writer and vocal arranger I can share my knowledge of musicality and performance to bring out the best in my students and clients.
I believe in singing for social change and diversity and inclusion are central to that ethos.
