About Graeme Leak
Graeme studied piano and percussion in Sydney and New York. In his early career he had a special commitment to contemporary music, having premiered over 100 commissioned solo and ensemble works, many of which were written especially for him. He challenges notions of high and low art with performances that work equally well in comedy rooms or concert halls.
Graeme has built a musical fence in outback Australia that has become a tourist attraction and he performed with the Spaghetti Western Orchestra, touring to Edinburgh Festival, Montreal Jazz Fest, Sydney Opera House, an appearance on Jools Holland and a BBC Prom at the Royal Albert Hall. He moved to the UK in 2013.
