About Eldon Bradfield
Violinist, violist, and composer Eldon Bradfield holds a BMus from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s BMus (honors) course. Taking inspiration from their work with Greg Lawson and Moishe’s Bagel and the diverse background of their peers at RCS, Eldon seeks to break the genre walls that segregate and limit music, honoring the universal nature of performance and the diversity of creative individuals and audiences. They have experience playing within many different ensemble settings and idioms, from Bach cantatas to tango groups to free improvisation with electronics. Current projects range from arranging Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy for their cross-genre folk ensemble mother tongues, producing a chamber concert celebrating the work, philosophy, and photography of composer Ernest Bloch, and co-managing Garúa Tango Club. Eldon holds a teaching position at the Glasshouse International Cente for Music.
