About Carol Bowden
I have worked as a Community Musician and Dance facilitator across the North East for over 15 years. Working in partnership with health organisations, local authorities, family support services, SEND, nurseries, primary and secondary schools. I have worked for many years with Sage Gateshead as Programme and Project Leader, working with Early Years Family Learning Loud & Clear programme, as well as projects working with vulnerable children and families.
Currently I am working with York St John University as a Student Researcher whilst studying for my Masters in Community Music as well as working as a freelance consultant assisting both Blue Cabin and We Make Culture in the North East, working with care experienced children and supporting their artists in delivery.
I also run Treble Time, my own Early Years music making classes for families, using voice, percussion and ukulele to support child development through singing and play.
I am a professional musician who performed extensively with Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, an award winning folk quartet from the North East, as vocalist and percussion player.
