About Ashley Godfrey-Keyte
Ashley has over 15 years as an experienced and dedicated musician, composer, director and teacher with a passion for sharing the joy of music with people of all ages and levels. Ashley has led and directed various musicals, concerts and productions as musical director and as a trumpet and keyboard player. Those include larger venues such as the Fairfield halls in London, Wells Cathedral and has had his own composition works commissioned and performed for members of the Royal family. Ashley is well known to encompass a diverse range of genres such as classical, jazz, Broadway, and contemporary music. Ashley studied music and teacher training at Bath Spa University and since then has developed his expertise in orchestrating cohesive and captivating performances that engage audiences and create memorable experiences. Ashley has worked with diverse groups of performers, ranging from amateur to professional and has worked extensively with young people during his time as Head of Music at the Huish Episcopi Academy, in addition with other educational establishments across England, including most recently Stagecoach. Ashley’s passion for musical theatre has led him to compose his own musicals for young people.
