The Employment Rights Bill is a once in a generation opportunity to improve the lives of working people. It includes measures to ensure that statutory sick pay is available to all employed workers from the first day of sickness absence.

However, the rate of statutory sick pay remains low, in fact one of the lowest in Europe. That leaves many employed workers – including 22% of musicians who have access to sick pay according to the Musicians’ Census - one serious illness or injury away from financial trouble.

Day of action – get involved!
