This year’s STUC Black History Month Annual Lecture will bring together Black artists from a range of creative industries and artistic disciplines to reflect on the nuances of their practices, expressions of identity, and experiences of working in Scotland’s arts sector.

The lecture will take place from 6:30 pm on 24 October, at the STUC Margaret Irwin Building in Glasgow. You can register your free place to attend through Eventbrite now.

The STUC has also released a ‘save the date’ for the St Andrews Day Anti-Racism March and rally, which will be held in Glasgow on Saturday, 26 November 2022. The theme of this year is We Demand Change. This is an opportunity to bring trade unionists, activists and communities together to fight back against racism and fascism.
