The MU condemns today's terrorist attack on a synagogue in Manchester.

People should be able to practice their religion without fear of violence. Synagogues should be safe spaces for Jewish communities, and targeting a place of worship on Yom Kippur is a direct attack on Jewish people’s rights to celebrate their religion.

The MU stands in solidarity with our Jewish members, Jewish musicians, and Jewish communities, and extends our deepest condolences to the victims and their families.

The MU stands against discrimination, prejudice, and hatred in all their forms, and will continue our work to create a safer music industry for all musicians.
