Young creatives in Glasgow are invited to take part in a series of free creative sessions this October at Soundplay Projects.
The sessions are run by Music Space, an alternative learning programme for young people aged 16–25 who are based in Glasgow and interested in experimenting with sound and music.
Funding and support for emerging artists
The MU is pleased to be supporting the session, ‘Funding & Support: What’s Available and Where to Start’.
Louise Stanners Pow from the MU will join Jamie Houston from Creative Scotland and Alex Marrs from Cove Park for a practical session exploring the different types of funding, residencies and professional development opportunities available to emerging artists, as well as sources of support for creative practitioners.
It will also cover music industry essentials, including rights and contracts, and where to seek advice and guidance throughout a creative career.
There will be plenty of space for discussion and questions, helping participants find out more about the opportunities available and where to start when looking for support.
- Date: Friday 23 October
- Time: 4pm - 6pm
- Venue: Soundplay Project, 9th Floor, 51 Cadogan St, Glasgow G2 7HF
