The second Wales and South West England regional Members’ Day is taking place in Bristol and online on 21 September.

We are now able to confirm the final schedule for the day which includes two workshops, a chance to discuss the Union’s work in the region at the AGM, and time to meet other members from across the region.

Special guests and networking

Chris Walters, MU National Organiser for Education and Health & Wellbeing, will deliver a session on key educational updates, while Lily Batten from PR company Synced Up will provide an introduction to Music PR.

The AGM is also your chance to find out more about the Union’s work across the region over the past year as well as our plans for the future, and to give us your feedback.

Assistant General Secretary Matt Wanstall will be joining us to report on the Union’s work across the UK, and there will be plenty of time throughout the day to meet your regional team and other members.

Accessibility

This Members’ Day has been organised following positive feedback about our first Members’ Day, which took place last year. We want the day to be as accessible as possible so it's totally free to attend and lunch will be provided, just let us know if you have any access or dietary requirements when you sign up to attend.

Please also let us know in the registration form if you will be coming with a personal assistant/support worker.

Reasonable travel expenses to and from the day can be paid to enable members to attend, but again please do get in touch with us to confirm your place and travel plans before booking tickets to avoid any issues.

This year’s event will also be hybrid with online access available, just sign up and we’ll send you the online meeting details nearer the time. Many members have already booked their place, and we hope more will join us for what promises to be a great day.
