The Bread & Roses Songwriting and Spoken Word Award 2020 is open for entries, with five prizes of £100 each up for grabs. The deadline for entries is 14 February 2020.

The Bread & Roses Songwriting and Spoken Word Award 2020 is open for entries

The Award is brought to you by the Communication Workers Union (CWU) and Culture Matters, with additional support and sponsorship from the MU.

Each entry should adopt one of the following themes:

  • Climate Emergency
  • Our Culture
  • More than Profit
  • Workers’ Lives
  • Global Solidarity

All entries should be in the form of audio or video files (MP3/4 format, YouTube link or similar), although video entries will also have the chance of being featured on the Culture Matters YouTube channel.
