Ladies of the Stave: Secrets of the Keys

About the event

Ladies of the Stave, in association with The Other Palace, present a series of masterclasses in the essential skills needed to be a versatile accompanist and musical director in today's industry, led by some of London's leading female musical directors.

Women of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is part of the #LadiesoftheStave initiative to support female musicians in theatre, which is supported by the Musicians Union. The event is hosted by the Other Palace and is free of charge.

Schedule

• 11:00 am - 11:45 am: Masterclass 1 - Conducting from the piano
• 11:45 am - 1:00 pm: Masterclass 2 - Playing the groove
• 1:00 pm - 1.30 pm: Lunch - Free tea and coffee will be provided
• 1.30 pm - 2.45 pm: Masterclass 3 - Technology
• 2.45 pm - 4:00 pm: Masterclass 4 - Confidence
