About the event

Gender and the Large and Shiny Instruments (GALSI), an initiative to address gender imbalances for instrumentalists, is partnering with the MU to host a networking event in Manchester for those who face barriers to the music profession due to their gender.

This event is a meet-up for for women and non-binary people in brass, percussion, and double bass and/or any instrument in which you are a gender minority.

It is an informal space where musicians can meet new people, see friends, and make connections.

A member of the MU's ED&I Committee will also speak about the work they are doing in this area.
