CULT Cymru: Mental Health First Aid Training (2-Day Course)

About the event

One person in four will experience a form of mental health condition in the course of a year. Mental Health First Aid training can help improve lives.

This two-day, in-person course aims to improve mental health awareness, and help people in the creative sectors to recognise the signs and symptoms of someone with mental health conditions. Practical information will be provided.

By the end of the session, you should be able to:

• Give initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem
• Deal with a crisis situation or the first signs of someone developing mental ill health
• Guide people towards appropriate support

The course does not train you to be a therapist, counsellor or mental health professional, but it will increase your confidence in working with vulnerable adults. Participants who complete the full two days will receive a certificate of attendance from Mental Health First Aid Wales.

Please note: the course content has not been tailored to the creative sector, but you will be on the course with other creatives and have an opportunity to work in small groups.
