Student Members Encouraged to Participate in Research Study

This is a new research project involving an online survey and case study interviews which aims to build on existing understandings of routes into instrumental teaching, by exploring the experience of students involved in undergraduate music programmes in the UK.

The survey questions relate to the experience of teaching so far, both as a student and as a teacher – and perceptions of teaching as a professional role or career option. The study findings will be used to inform programmes and initiatives related to career preparation and employability for undergraduate music students.

In order to participate in the study, individuals should be studying at an undergraduate level on a music programme in the UK. The survey can be accessed using the link below and should only take 10 minutes to complete. Survey responses are anonymous to avoid any sense of bias. All data will be stored securely in accordance with data protection legislation and participants can withdraw at any point without having to give a reason.
