About Tom Triggs

Tom is a professional recording and touring multi-instrumentalist with over 12 years of experience within the music industry. He is the drummer of London's desert-rock trio The Howlers and is a dedicated and active member of the Musicians Union.

Over the past decade, Tom has created music that has featured frequently across regional and national radio. Some of his most notable placements have appeared on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6, Absolute Radio, Radio X, BBC Introducing, Classic Rock, and Amazing Radio UK. However, Tom's music has also been featured on the continent and abroad on stations such as MTV Italia, Amazing Radio USA, KINK, Oui FM, Radio Rock Italia, and Indie XL. He has also enjoyed successful sync deals with BBC Sport, TalkSport, BBC One (Match Of The Day), BBC Two (Women's Euros Coverage), Fox (Sports Coverage), and more.

His contributions to radio and TV have seen him tour relentlessly across the UK & Europe. In addition to headline shows, Tom has supported prolific artists such as Black Honey, Tom Meighan (Kasabian), The Blockheads (Ian Dury), The Kills, Sunset Sons, and The Subways. He has also performed at most of the UK’s largest music festivals, including Reading and Leeds, Isle of Wight, Y Not?, TRNSMT, Victorious, and Sheffield Tramlines. In 2018, Tom even had the privilege of filling in for Ben from Starsailor at Enjoy Music Festival Aberdeen.

Tom has a comprehensive understanding of songcraft. Over the years, his professionalism and adept recording practices have seen him track at prestigious studios across the UK. For example, Tom has experience with live and multi-track recordings at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios. Most recently, he has recorded a yet-to-be-released live session at Metropolis Studios in London. His previous works have also seen him make records at Monnow Valley, The Premises Studios, Echo Zoo Studios, and Livingston Studios.

The Howlers are set to release their debut album 'What You've Got To Lose To Win It All' on May 17th, 2024. This release is accompanied by an in-store tour, where purchasing a physical copy of the album from your chosen store guarantees attendance at the show.​

Outside of his musical hustle, Tom is a private music teacher with over eight years of experience. He is fully DBS compliant, Educare level 2 qualified, and has succeeded in obtaining distinctions for his students for the ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall, Rockschool, and Trinity Rock and Pop exams. Tom has a wealth of experience teaching students of different ages and backgrounds. For example, he has provided one-to-one tuition at Smallberry Green Primary, Hampton High School, St. Joseph's College, and West Ashtead Primary School. Tom also has vast experience teaching seasoned seniors and children with neurodiversity needs.
