About Rolando Bertrand
I'm originally from a small, quirky town in the north of Nicaragua. I've always been surrounded by music and art. As a kid, I grabbed as many instruments as I could and taught myself how to play them. I was part of several bands in Nicaragua, including Nomadas, with whom I came in second place in a major national band competition, and Madrú, which topped the charts of Rock FM for three months in a row in 2017 with the single '12 AM.' I moved to the UK about six years ago. Here, I've continued my music career by working as a session and live musician for Katie West, Mike West, Alys Hardy, Emma Marie, Badger Brown, amongst others, and playing in bands such as Lo-Fi Jones, World Wide Welshman, and Misha and the Kings. I also have a personal music project called The Red Cards, in which I sing, play bass, guitar, and drums.
In June 2026, Lo-Fi and Misha & TK will be releasing their first LP! As well as The Red Cards putting out their first EP (!) So, look up our socials to keep tuned for that.
