About Luke Tarrant

In early 2012 Luke decided to start private guitar tuition alongside his more formal and curricular school based teaching to provide lessons for local adults and children in the Colchester and Braintree districts of Essex. Since then Luke has built up a number of private students who he teaches on a weekly basis.

In 2013 he finished completing two years at Colchester Sixth Form College where he earned Classical Music and Music Technology A Levels, during which time he also participated in a number of small musical productions performing at schools and theatres in the local area. In September the same year he then gained a scholarship to the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) in London where he studied a BTech Level 5 Higher Diploma course in Music Performance, before continuing his studies here and later graduating with a first class Bachelor of Music honours degree (BMus).

As an enthusiastic guitarist and musician Luke has been fortunate enough to gain a number of peripatetic roles over the years becoming part of the teaching faculty at; Honywood Community Science School, Colchester Rock Project, EJP Music School, Herington House Preparatory School and Rocksteady Music School (the UK's largest music school) where he has taught hundreds of students and enjoyed helping mould their musical journey.
