About JUST!JOSH

I am a 19 year old Neo-classical composer, songwriter & author from Swindon, England and I am currently studying a BA Honours degree in Popular Music. I have played piano & keyboard since I was 11 and Saxophone (intermittantly) since I was 12. I am also currently in the process of learning the Ukulele.
I compose and release instrumental piano music on Spotify under the name JUST!JOSH and have also released a piano music book to Amazon containing my original compositions.
When I was first learning to play keyboard I won the Swindon Music Festival Class 4 years in a row, and have since toured to Italy with my school, as well as played the piano in 2 musicals (School Of Rock & Pippin) in 2018 and 2019 respectively. In addition I was the Musical Director for my college's musical in 2020 (although it was cancelled mid-way through due to Covid).
During the Covid-19 lockdowns, I first began songwriting and I am currently in the process of collating a portfolio of work I have created so far. I am also learning how to produce music properly in 2022!
Although only in my second year of university, I am looking to start involving myself within the professional music industry as I am looking to work in the industry full time after my studies. Within the industry, I want to keep myself busy and work in a range of areas, from Songwriting & Performance, to TV/Film & Games Composing, to Music Education & Teaching and much more.
Outside of music I enjoy sport, having played football at the World Youth Cup (Gothia Cup) 2 years in a row as a goalkeeper and currently play for my University Men's Tennis 2nd Team. I am also a qualified Football Referee and Level 2 Tennis Coach and have coached tennis for nearly a decade.
