About Gregor Wilson

I'm a 24-year-old Bass player based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Six years ago, I completed my bachelor's degree in music and sound at the University of West London. I worked at the Jazz Bar in Edinburgh from 2021 to 2025, where I left to become a full-time musician

After some time playing in the local Function band "Acrylic Milk," I left the country to travel to New Zealand in January 2023. I returned to Scotland in June 2023, where I was met with an opportunity to play with Glasgow-based jazz vocalist "Becca Sloan". Through this opportunity, I was able to meet many other musicians around the jazz and funk scene. After acquiring a residency at The Jazz Bar with Becca, I was approached by "The Phat Cats," a wedding and events Function group that operates out of London and plays at many events and weddings around the country, to join their team as one of the bass players who would be on call for Scotland.

When playing in these bands for the last half of 2023, I strove to create something of my own. So in October 2023, I put together a ragtag band of renegade musicians into a funk-and-soul 7-piece band dubbed "The Castle Terrace Sessions." Through this project, two others spawned: "Little Wold Co.," an original jazz fusion quartet that holds a residency at the jazz bar. And Neon Moss, a jazz fusion cover group that also holds a residency at the jazz bar in Edinburgh, that you can still come see once a month!

Through these projects and my connection to the Edinburgh and Glasgow music scene, since August 2025 I've been able to play with some of Edinburgh's best musicians, and I couldn't be more delighted, including the likes of Aki Remally, The KillerHorns, Midnight Swim Club, LUNA J, Sparkle Band, Alice Armstrong, Harry Higgs, The Pocket Five, Ciara Farelly, Abby Bell and the High Ryes, Scotch and Rhye, And Many more!

I'm available for all kinds of bass-related work; please don't hesitate to contact me through my email!
