About Anastasia Egorova
A violinist born and raised in St Petersburg I have studied with many teachers and professors, ranging from the St Petersburg Conservatoire to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Over the last six years of living in London I have acquired much experience of performance and creative work. I performed in countless settings and session recordings of rock, jazz, pop and folk, to contemporary music art installations, to classical orchestral concerts performed at renowned concert halls.
As well as using my classical training for performance, I also write and produce my own songs, and compose strings and vocal parts for other recording artists. I have collaborated with many talented musicians and composers, such as Jasper Trim, Mike Trim, Gabriela Eva, Mathis Saunier and Abel MGE. I have also recorded music with the Franko-Swiss band Mauvais Sang (with whom I have had the luck to perform in Chamonix, France).
Aside to performance and writing, I am also an experienced violin tutor, having a number of regular students whom I am lucky to be able to influence with my teaching. Having both adults and children in my class allows me to keep developing my own techniques and understanding of music.
