Lambeth City Council are calling on residents to join them in a doorstep celebration on Monday 22 June, by tuning into a broadcast of Desmond Dekker’s, ‘You Can Get It If You Really Want’ on Colourful Radio and singing alone, at 10:27am – which references the 1,027 passengers who were aboard the Windrush when it docked at Tilbury on 22 June 1948.

Those living outside of Lambeth can join in too! Find out more, and download the song, lyrics and artwork on Lambeth Council’s website.
