Music for Youth National Partnership Award Winners

As part of the Union’s work supporting Music for Youth, the MU sponsors a National Partnership Award. Find out what the 2015 winners got up to.

As part of the Union’s work supporting Music for Youth, the MU sponsors a National Partnership Award. The winners receive a bespoke musical experience for their group.

The 2015 winners of the World, Folk & Roots Award sponsored by the MU were The Contours, and they have just made their first recording with Joe Broughton.

An accomplished professional violinist, Jeff Wakefield enjoyed a distinguished orchestral career and took great pride in his lifelong association with the Musicians' Union, of which he became a member in 1952. This tribute was written by his son-in-law, David Marcou.
