Hull-based hip hop artist and MU North of England Regional Committee member Chiedu Oraka has been hand-picked to support Coldplay at two sold-out shows on 18 and 19 August, as part of their ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour at the city's Craven Park.

Watch the incredible exchange between Chiedu and Coldplay singer Chris Martin.

In the video Chiedu says, “Chris, we're going to have to have a proper conversation - you are coming to my city, mate, and I can't have you pronouncing my name like that - you are butchering it. Remember, if I accept, you are closing the show for me!”

Chiedu was also named Best Newcomer at the Northern Music Awards earlier this year and performed at Glastonbury in 2024.
