Taking place in Montréal, Québec, Canada during February 19-23, Folk Alliance International (FAI) is the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community.

Tour-ready artists can now submit an application to showcase their music to a range of industry professionals.

Perform for festival bookers, agents, labels and more

FAI represents a diverse array of genres including Appalachian, Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Global Roots, Hip-Hop, Old-Time, Singer-Songwriter, Spoken Word, Traditional, Zydeco, and various fusions.

Official showcases are an excellent way for tour-ready artists to perform their music in front of festival bookers, agents, venues, record labels, DJs, and more.

Selected through a competitive jury process, showcasing artists often book national or international tours, meet professionals to join their teams, and catch the interest of media based on these performances.

The deadline for applications is June 28 2024 at 11:59pm CT.

For more information on eligibility and how to apply, you can visit Folk Alliance International’s guidance page.

Successful applicants can apply for international showcase funding

The International Showcase Fund (ISF) offers grants of up to £5,500 for international export opportunities for UK-based artists.

Successful applicants for FAI 2025 can therefore apply for funding to cover costs including those for international and domestic travel, visas, accommodation, and artist/band fees.
