The conference brings together musicians, managers, promoters, venues, festivals and record labels from across the country to discuss the current challenges we all face.

This year panels will cover the current state of the live and recording sector, the realities of building careers as artists and a look at ways we can support and develop regional music scenes.

There are also live showcases each night including artists such as Honeyfeet, The Futureheads and Blanketman.

MU Panel and Networking

The MU will be running a networking event on Thursday 5 March at 5:00 pm, followed 5:30 pm by a panel discussion on the radio & live platforms available to niche artists, the financial support available to diverse groups, and the effectiveness of genres in creating musical communities and audiences.

The panel will be moderated by Shell Zenner of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio. It will feature Lady Ice – Artist, Ben Robinson – From The Fields & Artist, David Agnew – The Met & English Folk Expo and Karen Boardman – ACE
