What we're looking for

The venue offers paid slots for touring artists, alongside headline opportunities for local and emerging acts. We focus on fair treatment, professional production, and building audiences through consistent programming and promotion.

About us

We are a small grassroots live music venue and community space based in Atherton town centre. Our programme spans a wide range of genres, including indie, rock, folk, post-punk, electronic and alternative music, alongside spoken word, DJ events and community-led activity.

We focus on supporting emerging and independent artists, early-evening and accessible event models, and creating a welcoming space for audiences who may not typically engage with live music.

How to get a gig

Please fill out our Artist Submission Form in the 'Apply to Play' section on our website.

Accessibility

The Snug is accessible via a ramp and wide doorways. There is a cobbled street leading up to the venue, which may present some difficulty, but our team is always happy to assist. We also have a toilet with a wide doorway and sufficient space for wheelchair access. We aim to be as accessible and accommodating as possible.

We are also open to receiving and implementing green riders.

Getting home

If you are driving, there is a large free carpark around 30-seconds walk from the venue.

We have two train stations in the area, Atherton and Hag Fold stations, which are around 10/15 min walks away. We also have late buses that run through Atherton and even later through the next town over, Tyldesley.

Outside of the venue in the evening, people are sat outside with a drink and queuing to get in.
