Paid weekly or monthly residencies, paid support slots with more established local, national and international acts. Headline shows as part of programmes that support early stage career musicians. For example, 'the Sundown Sessions'.

About us

We are an independent venue, owned and operated by local music and arts charity Open House. Located on the seafront, right in the heart of the newly designated City of Bangor, County Down, we hope the Court House will become the beating heart of Bangor’s burgeoning music and arts scene.

We have a year-round programme of quality and cutting edge live music, comedy, film, theatre, and spoken word events, featuring international artists alongside local creatives, and celebrating Bangor’s rich musical heritage. Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, we hope you’ll find a warm welcome and an open mind in The Court House.

How to get a gig

Please email info@courthousebagor.com with information about you/your band, previous experience or gigs, audience size and any reviews. Include links to your social media platforms, websites and places where we can listen to your music.

Accessibility

As an independent organisation, we pride ourselves on giving care and attention to all our customers and strive to be inclusive and accessible for all. We welcome D/deaf and disabled audiences and artists to the venue and will take all reasonable steps to meet requirements. We also recognise that not all disabilities are visible and welcome initiatives such as the JAM Cards and Sunflower Lanyards for people with unseen disabilities.

All of our event spaces, with the exception of the 'Drawing Room' are on the ground floor. The Drawing Room can be accessed via a platform lift. The front entrance to the venue can be accessed via a ramp, there is also an alternative entrance via the rear of the building that is all on ground level.

Staff have completed disability awareness training and we aim to keep up to date with training, legislation and guidelines from organisations including Attitude is Everything.
