The MU makes every effort to ensure that all events we organise are accessible to everyone who would like to attend. If you have any access requirements you would like us to be aware of, please contact wswe@theMU.org in advance to discuss what you need.

About the event

We’re introducing regular MU Surgeries for members in the WSWE region. These are twenty minute conversations with an Official where you can talk through anything you’re dealing with in your working life.

You might want to sense check an approach, explore a situation early, or get clarity on what support is available.

Members often use this kind of space to ask things like:

  • I’m thinking of doing X, is there anything I should watch out for?
  • I’m not sure which MU service applies to my situation.
  • Can you help me understand what support is available?
  • I want to sense check a fee or working arrangement before I confirm it.
  • I have a question about MU benefits or my career plans.

Surgeries are not for casework or legal advice, but they are a good way to talk something through early and explore the options for your next steps. If something needs a deeper look, we will guide you to the right process or support.

Sessions will take place online, so they're easy to access wherever you are in the region.

How to attend

Please email wswe@themu.org to book a place. The session will be held online via Zoom with a join link sent the day before.
