Photo credit: Shutterstock The club has been under threat from a planning application from JD Wetherspoon to build a hotel and beer garden next adjacent to the club, raising concerns that the legendary club could come under fire from noise complaint issues should the development go ahead. This will be one of the first instances where the newly legislated ‘Agent of Change’ principal should come into play in Scotland. The MU has written to formally oppose the application.
