Wide Days, the annual Scotland music convention taking place in Edinburgh from 30 April to 1 May 2026, has opened its applications for artists to take part in its showcase programme.

Artists and music creators based in Scotland can apply to two opportunities this year - the Talent Development Programme and the New From Scotland showcase slot.

Talent Development Programme

The Wide Days Talent Development Programme will give four artists a year-round package of mentoring, workshops and ongoing support to accelerate their career, as well as a showcase slot at Wide Days.

Eligible artists are those who are developing a profile in Scotland and looking for support to take them to the next level and help them become export-ready. You must also be attracting audiences and local media support, getting some interest to take your first-steps outside Scotland, and looking to start building a team.

More details about the opportunity and a full list of application criteria can be found on the apply to play page. Applications close at 11:59pm on Friday 21 November 2025.

New From Scotland Showcase Slot

Artists who have built a profile in Scotland and are now beginning to develop a fanbase across other parts of the UK are encouraged to apply for the New From Scotland Showcase slot.

Successful applicants will perform as part of a multi-venue showcase on the Thursday and Friday of Wide Days. They will also have access to the full conference programme, a pre-event briefing and artist networking brunch.

To apply, you should already have some of the following: external team members (e.g. management, label, agent etc), festival/showcase bookings, national press, national radio play, streaming playlists, sync, international industry interest.

A full list of application criteria can be found on the apply to play pageThere is a rolling deadline for applications, with the final deadline at 11:59pm on 27 February 2026.

Note: Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis from November onwards, and applications are advised to submit as soon as you are ready, as opposed to waiting until the final deadline.

If you require any additional assistance with your application, please contact hello@widedays.com.
